# Configure a Multi-View Review Station

Do you need to be able to run separate instances of Tacview with different settings for each?

By default, Tacview will save all settings upon exiting, including window positions.

However, it is possible to instruct Tacview to store user's preferences in a specific set for each instance of Tacview. Here's how.

* Launch Tacview with command line option

  ```
  /ConfigSet:"Supervisor.1"
  ```

  (use your preferred naming conventions).
* Set up everything the way you want it.
* Close Tacview using the `X` in the top right corner. The config set is now saved.
* To use your config set while not allowing changes to be saved to it (such as if a user moves a window), launch Tacview with the command line options

  ```
  /ConfigSet:"Supervisor.1" /SaveConfig:false
  ```
* To make permanent changes to the config set, launch Tacview with the command line option

  ```
  /ConfigSet:"Supervisor.1"
  ```

  make your desired changes and close Tacview using the `X` in the top right corner. The changes are saved to the config set.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://raia-software-inc.gitbook.io/tacview/getting-the-most/configure-a-multi-view-review-station.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
