# Opening a File

In this walkthrough we are using the file **Demo-Getting-Started-With-Tacview\.acmi** which is available on the Tacview website: <https://tacview.net/download/addons/>

Go to **File → Open** to open your file.:

Choose the object you are most interested in as your primary selected object. Let's choose Dallas, either by selecting him from the dropdown menu or by CTRL + left clicking on him.

Choose External Camera Mode so that the camera will focus on our primary selected object, Dallas:

Scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in and hold down the left mouse button while moving the mouse to pan around Dallas:

Use the Playback Control Bar to press play, fast forward, or drag the slider to the parts of your replay that interest you the most. Continue to scroll in and out using the mouse wheel and to pan around Dallas by holding down the left mouse button to get the best camera angle:
