# Installing Tacview for DCS World

To install Tacview for DCS World, simply run the Tacview installer. See [Download and Install Tacview](/tacview/getting-started/download-and-install-tacview.md).

If you are using Tacview on Steam, launch Tacview one time so that the install scripts run. If Tacview has previously been launched, it is necessary run "verify integrity of software files" so the install scripts will run again. Go to \*\* Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of software files\*\*:

In DCS World, check that Tacview is installed by going to `Options → Special → Tacview`:

If Tacview does not appear under `Options → Special → Tacview` after rerunning the installer, you may perform a **manual installation** by copying the `Mods` and `Scripts` folder from `C:\Program Files (x86)\Tacview\DCS\` or `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tacview\DCS\` to `%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\DCS\`
